BiB - Ariel in a Fashion Show
In my collection are a number of clothes that are not ideal for scenarios or shoots, since they are hard to secure, are (only) used for special purposes, don't fit Ariel well, or are just not that flattering. So they get a special gallery here, with some locking mechanisms that I hadn't demonstrated yet in the galleries.

The first suit Ariel shows is the only new addition to my collection since the previous shoot. I had been looking out for a while now for a jumpsuit or romper that closes around the waist, and finally found this one on eBay (brand PinkBoutique.com), made from suedette (fake suede). Only when I recieved it it became clear the the waist zipper is not divisible, so even though you can zip it open all around, the bottom part won't come loose from the top because the start of the zipper still connects both sides. Which seems to cancel the one big advantage in normal wear of only needing to lower the bottom part when going to the bathroom. The downside of course is that zippers are not stretching, so the suit needs to be wide around the waist to fit over the hips.

The next overalls are made for camping and trekking (brand: Wildebeast), and the bottom part of the legs can zip off to convert them to shortalls.

These blue overalls have been in my collection for a long time (brand unknown, probably late seventies or early eighties), and I expect they are maternity overalls, although the waist isn't adjustable.

These chastity shorts are meant for men, but I let Ariel wear them to give an impression on how they look on a person. With the adjustable waist they fit better than I expected. I've added shoulder straps to these, like with lederhosen, that connect to the locking posts front and back, to make them even more secure. You can read more about them on the My Own Constructions page.

This romper (brand: Streetgang) is probably meant as an exercise suit, but it also functions well as PJs in summer. For a simple and primitive way of locking it, I made a hole in the fabric on either side of the zipper, so that a padlock keeps both sides together, and can also go through the zipper pull.

An Italian website claimed these undresser pajamas (brand: TEMA) were impossible for the wearer to get out of. You shouldn't be able to exert force in the right direction to open the velco across the shoulders. While that might be true for the Alzheimer patients that it is meant for, it is little challenge for a flexible grown-up. So I added eyelets through which you can put segufix locking posts to make it more secure.

This romper (brand: New US) is closed with lacing up the front, which makes it a fair hassle to go to the toilet with. But since it has some elastane in the fabric, it stretches. To make it 'safer' I added a non-flexible strip of fabric around the waist on the inside, and an extra strap between the shoulder straps high up the back so the straps can't be pulled off the shoulders. The eyelets for the lacing are of course quite inviting for some cute padlocks.
